Dolphin Watching & Monaco Sights

A fun packed day on the French Riviera. From 7 years old to 70 years young, all members of the family will enjoy this itinerary.

A boat trip, dolphins in the wild, lunch with a view, an oceanographic museum and sightseeing.

This day trip could prove to be the highlight of your family holiday. If you're not visiting the Riviera between June - September, we can replace the dolphin boat trip with another fun activity.

The itinerary is based on 8 hours starting at 9am, but we can adjust the tour to suit your specific interests and time constraints. Just contact us to discuss options.

THE ITINERARY :

1st STOP – Dolphin watching 

Your dolphin and whale watching adventure will start in the Bay of Villefranche-sur-mer. You board the boat and set off across the Mediterranean sea to the wildlife ‘hot spots’.

A diverse range of sea life visits the waters off the French Riviera coast some of the most commonly spotted during these outings are: Fin Whales, Sperm Whales, Risso’s Dolphins and Striped Dolphins.

Light aircraft are used each morning to locate groups of dolphins & whales to ensure that you have the best possible chance of watching some of these beautiful creatures in their natural environment.

2nd STOP – A burger with the best view EVER!

Burger and chips is generally a foolproof lunch option for the whole family, but forget McDonald’s, we’ll take you to the burger truck with THE best view. 

3rd STOP – The Oceanographic Museum

The Principality of Monaco is just a short drive along the coast from your lunch pitstop. So after 20 (very scenic) minutes, your Friend in France guide will start introducing you to the world’s 2nd smallest country.

The Oceanographic Museum is awe-inspiring from the moment you set eyes on it. Built with 100 000 tons of rock, it offers over 6000m2 of exhibition space with both tropical and Mediterranean sealife aquariums.

4th STOP – A walking tour of Monaco Ville

Your Friend in France guide will pick you up from the Oceanographic Museum to walk with you through the medieval streets of old Monaco to show you the sights, including:

• The Cathedral (Grace Kelly's resting place)
• The Prince’s Palace
• The courthouse
• Some pretty stunning panoramic views 

5th STOP – A lap of the Monaco Grand Prix circuit

Last but not least, drive a full lap of the Monaco Grand Prix circuit.
