This day trip is the perfect balance between city break and countryside escape.
Spend the morning discovering the history, culture and local cuisine of Nice and then head for the hills in the afternoon for a peaceful and picturesque ride through French Riviera countryside.
This experience is perfectly suited to families but it would work well for a group of friends or an active couple.

THE ITINERARY :
1st STOP – A walking tour of Old Nice
Meet your Friend in France guide for coffee at one of the cafés overlooking Cours Saleya market before exploring the pretty streets of Vieux Nice.
As you wander together, you’ll learn all about the history of Nice through architecture, local produce and from the locals themselves.
Taste authentic delicacies, including socca, pissaladière, olive oil and, of course, rosé wine.
See Medieval, Belle Epoque and Baroque architecture and meet local artists and artisans.
By the time you say farewell to your guide, you’ll feel like a local.
2nd STOP – Horse riding in the hills
After a short (30 minute) drive from Nice, your Friend in France driver will drop you off at a small riding centre owned and run by Emilie.
Emilie's hilltop equestrian centre is warm and welcoming. She has extensive knowledge of the area that she will lead you through. Her horses are beautiful Merens, a breed which is both gentle and well behaved.
A nice touch to this experience is the saddling and brushing of your horse, which gives you the chance to get to know them enough to feel completely at ease throughout your ride.
In no time at all you'll be treking through French Riviera countryside, along forest pathways in the midst of gorgeous views.
